He won't eat tonight all cold, alone, incomplete
Sometimes I feel it's too much to take
There's no mercy in this fucking city and this life he leads has become a hell

Everything I’ve taken for granted has gone
I’ll be sleeping alone tonight

Everyday it just gets worse and this winter might be the end of him
Sometime I feel there’s no hope and everything I’ve ever loved will leave me

I travel from place to place
Making friends, enemies but that's the price to pay for fame

I've been a family man I've been a good man I've prayed for me
No hope for dead souls but hope for lost souls there's some hope for me

Just like me he's getting out
He's pushing through this hell on earth
Sometimes I feel I’m down and out and everything I've ever loved will leave me

The poverty he shies and shrugs
The hopeless mother’s, father’s and brother’s hugs
Coldness covers every street
This winter might be the end of me

No hope on these streets, no hope in this city, no hope in this world, no hope
